Ecology Tour
These run for 90 minutes in our “supervised only” areas. Our guides will take you on a personalised visit to see the fauna and flora. Learn about our abundant species and their response to bushfire.
Bring your camera, water bottle and binoculars. Please dress appropriately for a walk in the bush ie wear closed toe shoes and no exposed ankles, preferably long pants. PLEASE ARRIVE 15 MINUTES PRIOR TO TOUR TIME.
Bushfires have played an integral part in shaping the ecology of the Kangaroo Island landscape. Major fires have occurred in 2020, 2007, 1968, 1958, 1954, 1953 and 1931 (when records began)
